Someone Like You

Okayyy.... I really need to blog more. I am going to try and write a post at LEAST once a week, hopefully more though! I was just thinking about this song, it is a cover of Adele's song "Someone Like You" sung by Charlie Puth and Emily Luther, I just thought that I would share because it is my favorite song as of right now, the lyrics don't necessarily apply to me personally, but I feel like they have good meaning. Enjoy...

New Style...?

Found the cutest shirt at shopruche.com and I really want to get it, but I don't know if it is worth the money... take a look for yourselves.

I love it so much. It is kind of vintage, but that is why I love it!! I am kind of into vintage styles right now and am trying it out a little bit, but I wanted someone's opinion on this, I love it but can't decide... comments and opinions would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks so much :)

Bitter-Sweet

Wow.... seriously, I haven't written a blog post for SO long. I think it is about time! haha summer has just been so crazy for me and I have been so busy that I haven't done anything but work. But I am grateful to have money to pay for school for this upcoming school year. I am thinking a lot about how summer is almost over, because it is definitely a bitter-sweet ending. I am super excited to go back to school and see all of my friends that I met last year, and to just be able to be on my own and independent.... but I have had so much fun with my family all summer and I just loved spending time with each and everyone of them!! I am so sad to be leaving them, although I know I will see them every holiday and some weekends, it just isn't the same as seeing them everyday. So the summer ending has definitely been something that I look forward to, but also don't want to happen. I just hope that everything works out okay in the end.

While I am writing a post, I might as well post one of my favorite songs, I listen to it in the car mostly, while I am driving to work, from work, to get food, to the gas station... EVERYWHERE!! And I just thought that I should share it with you.... Plus, I just LOVE Phil Vassar... who doesn't?

Forever Strong ♥

Last night I watched the movie Forever Strong and I just thought that I should write a blog post about it. This is one of my favorite movies ever because it has just such a great message and it doesn't hurt that I think that the main actor (Sean Farris) is VERY good looking haha. But there are so many great quotes from that movie that I love. Some include;

"I don't do anything that would embarrass myself, my team, or my family... not anymore." -Rick

"It's not about rugby, it's about the boys on the team. It's not about building a championship team, it's about building championship boys. Boys who will be forever strong on the field as well as off of it." -Coach Gelwix

It reminds me to be forever strong in my own life. I love that this movie teaches everyone to be the best that they can be and to try their hardest. I love the values it teaches, including honesty... because I feel that honesty is a really important value to demonstrate in a person's life and I also strive to become forever strong in all aspects of my life.

Mixed Feelings...

I have about two more weeks left of school.. and there are definitely mixed feelings right now. I am very excited for the summer! No school, hanging out, and warm weather! But I also will be very sad to leave my roommates, and I most likely won't see a few of them ever again because some of the girls are transferring schools. This makes me sad because I have lived with all of them for these last two semesters, and we have all become really good friends!

However, I am very excited for a new experience for next year, and I am excited to meet new people and hopefully lifelong friends! I am just getting ready for this change in my life, and I am going into it with a good attitude and staying positive! Hopefully everything works out!!

Can't wait for...

                                            The Summer Sun

I can't wait for summer!! I love summer for many reasons; my birthday, swimming, friends, family, getting some color in my skin again, the 4th of July, vacations, road trips, relaxation, colorful flowers, and of course the beautiful summer sun!

~Holly, Eliza, & Fleurry~

I can't describe how much I miss these 3. They have been there for me through thick and thin and it is so weird to be apart. At first, I couldn't believe that we decided to all go to different colleges!! It just seemed so weird to me that we would all be apart and not hanging out every weekend like we did in high school. And even though it is sad and hard, it seems like it has been a good thing because we all needed to become separate people. I know that we will all be best friends always, and being apart also makes it more fun and exciting to be able to see each other again!! I cherish the time that we have together even more now that we have been apart and realize more about how each and every one of them has been such an amazing example in my life in many different ways. And I appreciate all of the love and support that they have shown to me! They will be my best friends forever and always. ♥

There are many memories that I have with each one of them. But the ones that stay clearest in my mind are just the simple things. When we would hang out at the park, or go to movies, or jump on the tramp and take pictures, or just hang out and talk about boys... those are the moments that I remember and LOVE the most! The summer after senior year was also a blast! We went boating, hung out, stayed up really late, went to burger king, watched movies, talked about boys and went on a senior trip to California!! I think this trip was the best trip that I have ever been on because it really brought us all together and we just had so much fun! While doing handstands and skipping in the park (that took us 2 hours to find), going to fat burger and accidentally getting the tiniest burger of life, going to Knotts Berry Farm and dancing to the random music that was playing, meeting Nick (one of the guys operating a ride), swimming, eating, shopping, going to the beach, getting lost, stopping in Las Vegas and going to the M&M factory, and much more.

                                       Doing hearts in the park

Dancing to the Cha Cha Slide... in the middle of the theme park

                                         M&M factory in Vegas

Meeting Nick at Knotts Berry Farm

These memories I will always remember and cherish. I love these girls more than anything and really appreciate all that they have done for me. I will always remember them and always consider them to be my best friends. You guys are the best friends that anyone could hope for and I feel like I could confide in you with anything. I am so lucky to have each of you in my life. You mean the world to me and I hope that you know that! I love you guys!

"Friendship is what gets you through the bad times, and helps you enjoy the good times." ~Anonymous

"I hope we'll be friends forever, together we'll always be. I don't think you understand just how much you mean to me. And one day when we part our ways, we'll think back to the past and think about how happy we are 'cause our friendship will always last." ~Bridget Davis ♥

Quote ❤

In Relief Society on Sunday, we had a lesson about eternal families and someone shared the quote:

"Don't settle for someone you can live with, find someone you can't live without" ❤

I really loved this quote and thought that I should share it with everyone.

Getting Started!

I decided to start this blog so that I can document my life now that I am in college and I am on my own. Many people back home haven't been filled in on what I have been up to here at Utah State University, so this is a way to let everyone know about my life.

I feel very blessed to have such an amazing support group in my life, whether it is family, friends, or my Heavenly Father. I am grateful each and every day for the blessings that I have received in my life and I  feel very close to my family and friends even MORE now that I have been away from them. It is a weird feeling to not spend every waking moment being around them, but it has made me appreciate each of them more and really know of the love that I have for them. I just want to thank them for all of their support and love that they show to me!!

I am excited to start this blog and document my experiences throughout my every day life! Thanks for motivating me to get started on this Holly and Fleurry!! I love you both.
